Hey guys its Lili and today I will be reviewing the second book in the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead titled Frostbite. Published in 2008 continues the storyline of Lisa and Rose. This book continues the story of the action packed lives of vampire princess Lissa Dragomir and her guardian Rose Hathaway. In this book Rose finds herself in deep guy trouble. The guy she has feelings for is now falling for someone else clouding Roses judgment and focus (not a good look for a guardian). Not only that, but her friend Mason also has a crush on her. She also keeps finding herself in Lissa's head at the most unwanted times. This is a result of Rose and Lissa not being able to control their one of a kind bond yet. The dark magic is beginning to take over and it is getting harder and harder for them to control the powers of their bond.

In the midst of an attack conducted by the Strigoi that happened near the school, the school board decided to send all the students away on a ski trip. (To refresh your memory the Strigoi are an evil race of killer vampires who have it out for the Academy especially Lissa). Anyways, the trip was supposed to be for the safety of the students however this was the opposite of what happened. Three studnets from the academy escaped the ski resort in order to fight back against the Strigoi. Rose ends up teaming up with an unlikely ally to save the students. But with the dark magic continuing to grow not only is she weakened, but her head is already cloudy. This time, she is in more danger than she thinks.

Speaker for the Dead Review by Arya

September 10, 2019 This is Arya Thirodira and this is my review (so far) of Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card.  Speaker for the Dead is a novel written by Orson Scott Card and was published in 1986. This is part of the Ender's Game Series and is the second book in the series. It describes the aftermath of the war with the buggers and follows multiple young characters in their journey against a new alien species that may yet prove to be threatening.  At the beginning of the book, it follows a few xenologers (alien biologists) on an alien planet inhabited by the first alien race they have seen in decades. The planet is populated with intelligent pig-like humans (piggies) that have different cultures and ethical beliefs than the people on Earth.              Recently, I read the novel Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. The story follows four sisters named Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy as they grew up, learn about life, and find love in Civil War-era America. (A note about how the book is structured: most older printings of the book are split into two volumes, with the first entitled Little Women and the second, which picks up essentially where the first part leaves off, entitled Good Wives . In general, when I discuss the book here, I’m referring to both sections.)
